LA has way cheaper low-end. But drinks in SF are SO much cheaper and I think mid-range is to. High-end is pretty equal.

Its cheaper in la than sf? My friend visited la and said its cheaper to eat out at a nicer place in la than here. I hate dating. I am so bad at it. Good luck with that… and ya sf values are very open when it comes to sex (and everything else) but sometimes too open so that it makes it more rule-like and stereotyped (watch the rick and steve epi where they go to SF). Its like you have to be out there. But the girls – ugh. They tend to go overboard at being ‘lesbian’. Im just too picky anyways though in dating..oh well.

SF is a sweaty city… coming from boston, everyone is more grungy, in good and bad ways, and im sure its the same with LA to SF. Sometimes i like it, and sometimes i dont. And as to the LA princess behavior, i still def have some east coast attitude…dont want to assimilate totally, right?

There are most certainly normal straight Jewish men in the city. You even went on a date with one of them. I think what your friend says is true only to those who chose SF to be their city for no apparent reason. Some people were born in the Bay Area and want to stay here. Well, SF is the center of activity. Others come here for work out of school. The people who move here without any family or job, and set out to make a life here are the kinky ones.
